The Story: All’s Fair is about one day in the American work place when a promotion becomes available.  Michael and Alice are at the same place in their careers, and want to take a step up.  The play asks the question of how much sexual inequality still exists in the work place.  Using two characters as the inner thoughts of Michael and Alice, the audience gets to see how tricky the battle of the sexes can be.
 
CHARACTERS
 
MICHAEL – Mid-twenties, semi-good looking, but has a drab of appearance.  Maybe he    
                        shirts needs to be ironed, maybe it’s not tucked in well, his hair is mussed 
                         up, he’s just very lazy about his appearance and posture
 
ALICE – Mid-Twenties, well put together, everything has her place, almost close to 
                   being anal.  Her dress is conservative but feminine.  Her make-up is lightly 
                     applied.  She’s attractive in that non-distraction way
 
EGO OF MICHAEL – An Age close to Michael, he’s suave.  He’s what Michael thinks 
                                      he is.  In a nice, three piece suit.  Nothing really makes him lose his cool, but a lot makes him slow down
 
THOUGHTS OF ALICE – Could be Ten Years older than Alice, Disheveled, tired.  
                                                Doing tons of things at once, and just has a zillion things 
                                                going on at once.  Should carry a big bag filled with 
                                               things to occupy dead time when Alice is on autopilot.
 
MR. BANIN – late thirties, early forties.  Looks like a man that hasn’t worried about 
                           much in life due to apathy.  He’s completely comfortable with himself 
                             and his surroundings.  Once he makes up his mind about something- It’s made up.
 
DEBBIE – late forties, early fifties.  Completely cracked out.  Takes too many meds and 
               has made herself a mess.  Her thoughts (ala Thoughts of Alice) just come 
                     streaming out as soon as she has them.  She has no filter.
 

 PERFORMANCES will be  Oct. 16 - Nov 2nd.
