for the G. B. Community Theatre production of

"The Miracle Worker"

written by William Gibson

and directed by Stephen Rhodes

will be held on

October 7 and 8

at 7:00 p.m.

at the Ashtabula Arts Center

Parts are available for 5 men and 6 women, ages 12  - 65,

including at least one African American adult female,

and at least one African American young boy and girl.

Especially physically and emotionally challenging is the role of Helen,

to be played by an actress of age 9 to 16.

All actors are volunteers.  No payment will be received.



Gibson's stirring dramatization of the story of Helen Keller is one of the
most successful and warmly admired plays filled with some of the most
turbulent, violent, and emotion-packed scenes ever presented on the stage.



Performance dates will be January 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, February 1, 6, and 7,
2009.  Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows will begin at 8 p.m.  Sunday
matinees begin at 2 p.m.
