*PETER PAN AND WENDY COME TO **SOLON** **CENTER** FOR THE ARTS*

Solon Center for the Arts is proud to announce the 2008 Spotlight Youth
Theater production of "Peter Pan and Wendy". This show, adapted for the
modern stage by Doug Rand, is sure to enthrall audiences with its faithful
retelling of J.M. Barrie's original tale.

When Peter Pan appears in the nursery of the Darling home he convinces Wendy
to follow her instinct for maternity and adventure. She soon flys away with
him and her two borthers, out the window of the nursery and away to the
magical Neverland. It is there that Wendy becomes a mother to the Lost Boys
and has many wonderful adventures with them and Pan. Soon the Darling
children are swept into Peter's battle with Captain Hook and his,
mostly-fearsome, pirate crew.

Since its premiere in 1904, the story of the mischievious and daring Peter
Pan has been well known and loved by children of all ages. Audiences will
rediscover the fun and exciting adventures of Peter Pan and Wendy with this
thrilling and fast-moving theatrical adaptation.

Dominick Chicotel, a highly acclaimed Director and Teacher at SCA, will be
leading the cast of "Peter Pan and Wendy". This talented group is comprised
of students with a variety of theatrical backgrounds. Some have been
involved in numerous Spotlight Youth Theater productions. Others are
students transitioning from SCA's Stories on Stage series and then there are
those who are completely new to the dramatic process. Cast members range from
grades 5 - 8.

Performances of "Peter Pan and Wendy" are Thursday, November 6 at 7:00 pm,
Friday, November 7 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 pm and 7:30
pm in SCA's Calvetta Bros. Floor Show Theater. Solon Center for the Arts is
