AUDITIONS FOR AN EVENING OF TWO ONE-ACT PLAYS on Monday, October 20th and Tuesday, October 21st at 7:30pm.  Performance dates are Friday, January 9 through Sunday, February 1, 2009 on Thursdays - Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm (except Sunday, Jan. 11).

Please bring an audition photo, resume, and prepare a comic monologue, no more than two minutes in length.  You will also be asked to read from either or both scripts.  

The Way of All Fish by Elaine May   
Looking to cast two females, ages 25 to 50-ish. PLEASE NOTE: The ability to execute 6 or more push-ups will be required for BOTH roles for this production.  An off-Broadway comedy hit (and regional premiere!) the play is a ping-pong power game. A self-absorbed executive and her seemingly drab secretary end the day's work with an impromptu dinner. What follows is a slow unveiling of the role each plays in life as they spar for the power to unravel the other - female to female. 

A Remedy of Tea by Anne McEvoy  
Looking to cast 1 male, age 35-60 and 1 female, between the ages of 20-30. A near-magical story about a Parisian eccentric who struggles a bit with authority and whose anything-but-common sense inspires her to question whatever she deems nonsensical and odious. After witnessing the greed of certain individuals and assessing their potentially dangerous influence, she invents her own fantastical, fanciful solution. But will it stand up to the probing interrogations and accusations of the brilliant inspector? It's reason vs. imagination in this delicate but deadly fairy tale for grown-ups who love to laugh. Inspired by the play, MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT.
