[NEohioPAL] Tenor vocalist position available

First Grace United Church of Christ, a progressive, Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ (www.firstgraceucc.org) has an immediate opening for an experienced tenor vocalist.  

Duties include:  

Providing strong vocal leadership in our choir and band in a wide variety of music, ranging from gospel to classical, folk to rock, world to jazz.   

Preparing solos and other independent music as requested. 

Rehearsing every wednesday night at 8pm and Sunday morning at 8:45

Taking the spiritual side of art making just as seriously as technique.  

Providing positive musical and spiritual mentorship to volunteers. 

Fostering open, honest and constructive lines of communication and collaboration with colleagues, church leaders and supervisors.  




Qualifying Skills:

Calm, flexible, go-with-the-flow attitude

Ability to read music

Willingness to improvise and work quickly and 'think on your feet'

Experience with a variety of musical styles and genres

Vocal training preferred

Ability to work at least 6 hours a week at the stated rehearsal times.  



Compensation is competitive, and varies depending on skill and ability
