Acting for Young Dancers
Nov 16, 2008 - Noon to 4pm
Two classes will be offered between Noon and 4pm that focus on dramatic technique for young dancers and teens. Dancers will  discover new movement techniques find essential performing skills in this workshop. Class explores basic dramatic theory, character, status, complicity, concentration and basic acting skills in this physical approach to performing on the live stage.
Work will require loose comfortable clothing or dance attire and bare feet.


Instructor Stephen Chipps is a resident artist with the Ohio Arts Council - Arts Learning Program and has conducted award winning residencies and workshops throughout the US. He is a faculty member of The School for Mime Theatre and its annual Youth Mime Seminar held at Kenyon College, co-founder of two national touring companies and has toured in 45 states throughout the US and in six countries including Japan, Korea, Okinawa, Canada, Puerto Rico and China.
