Cleveland Public Theatre announces auditions for Alice Seed

World Premiere

ABOUT THE PLAY: A world premiere by one of Cleveland's most noted
playwrights, Alice Seed is a moving and exceptional tale of loss and the
powerful desire to regain the past and hold on to our most cherished
ones. Part horror story, part family drama, Alice Seed is pure gothic
Americana reminiscent of Edgar Allan Poe, the Twilight Zone and the Coen
Brothers' movies. Alice Seed will be onstage in the Gordon Square
Theatre from March 19th - April 4th.

Looking to cast:

 

2 men, ages 30 - 60

1 woman, ages 30 - 45

1 girl, ages 7 - 12

  

Equity agreements may be considered for this production

 

Auditions will be held on the following times:


Thursday, October 23rd:    6:00pm - 8:00pm 

Friday, October 24th:    6:00pm - 8:00pm 
Saturday, October 25th:    2:00pm - 4:00pm or 4:00pm - 6:00pm

 

Auditions will be conducted in two hour sessions with small groups.
Auditioners should prepare a short, contemporary monologue (2 minutes
MAX), 8 bars of a song (a cappella), and come prepared to move.
Auditions may also consist of cold readings from the script.

 

Auditions will take place in the Parish Hall on the CPT campus, located
at W. 65th and Detroit Ave. on the near west side. For directions and

Rehearsals for Alice Seed begin February 9th with performances in the
Gordon Square Theatre March 19th through April 4th. Performances are
Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
