PHYSICAL THEATER LAB 
explores the work and technique of 
Marcel Marceau
Saturday, October 25

Session 2- 4pm
  The Physical Theater Lab will explore the physical technique and choreography of Mime Master Marcel Marceau, a hybrid fusion of classic pantomime and modern mime forms. Class will examine Mr. Marceau's central playwriting and composition technique (the Metamorphosa) with exercises drawn from both his teaching methods and performance numbers. 
Work will require loose comfortable clothing or dance attire and bare feet


Instructor: Stephen Chipps is a resident artist with the Ohio Arts Council - Arts Learning Program and has conducted arts residencies and workshops throughout the US.  He is a faculty member of The School for Mime Theatre and its Youth Mime Seminar each summer at Kenyon College and is the co-founder of two national touring companies. Stephen is a student of mime and movement masters Marcel Marceau, Stefan Niedzialkowski, the Goldston & Johnson School for Mimes and the Saskatchewan Seminars for Mime and Movement Theatre.
