Weathervane Playhouse Announces
AUDITIONS - BY APPOINTMENT for
BLOODY MURDER
(world-premiere)
Weathervane Playhouse will hold AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT for BLOODY MURDER a world-premiere "whodunit" by Ed Sala. Auditions will be held at Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane (in the Valley off Merriman Road) on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 4 and 5, starting at 7 p.m. in 10-minute increments. Auditioners are asked to select the character for which they will audition and prepare a short scene from the play. Scripts will be available for a $5 deposit by October 27. Ages: 1/60+ 1 50+ 1/30s 1/adult, any age
Director for the production is Nancy Cates, Co-Artistic Director of Ohio Shakespeare Festival, which performs on the grounds of Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. She is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and has been honored with eleven variations of regional critics' awards for excellence in directing. For Weathervane she directed last season's Moon over Buffalo and, previously, Lend Me a Tenor, All My Sons, Over the River and through the Woods, Gypsy, A Man for All Seasons, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Blithe Spirit and Communicating Doors.
