*Romeo and Juliet*

Production Dates and times:
January 30, 31, February 6, 7, 13, 14 at 8:00; February 1, 8, 15 at 2:00
There is also the possibility of an added performance for school groups on a
weeknight.

*Audition Dates:
November 2 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM
November 3 from 6:00 to 10:30 PM
*at Geauga Theater Annex 106 Water St. Chardon, Oh
(Old Nolan Building, across the street form theater)

*Auditioners should prepare a Shakespeare monologue, less than 2 minutes in
length, and be prepared to read from the script.
*
*We are seeking actors with special skills such as stage combat and ability
to play period instruments.*

*Cast:
*10-18 men, 5-12 women, all ages.
Romeo, Juliet, Mercutio and Benvolio will be cast as close to their true
ages as possible.
Cross-gender casting will be considered for some roles (such as Mercutio).

*Plot:*
Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, of the houses of Montague and Capulet,
are sworn enemies and because of it, their families are constantly
fighting.  One night, however, Romeo and Juliet meet at a party in the
Capulet mansion, and they instantly fall in love.  The two lovers get
married, but not too long after, tragedy ensues.
