AUDITIONS for "Goodbye Charlie"

will be held Sunday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 11
in the lower level of The Old Town Hall, on the square in Brecksville
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Producers:  Sally Suren & Ken Maresh


Character Descriptions:

Greg Morris - A lawyer - can be any age 
George Tracy - attractive. "slightly ravaged" - 30's-40's

Franny Salzman - former Girl Scout, goes in for Peter Pan collars, no lipstick, ballet slippers and good citizenship - 30's-40's

Irving - An agent - can be any age

Mr. Shriber - A tax expert - can be any age

Rusty Mayerling - pretty in a "movie starlet" way - 30's

Charlie - An attractive, tall blond woman - a former bachelor playboy who is shot and killed by a jealous husband and returns to earth, reincarnated as a young woman - 30's

Plot Summary:

A bachelor playboy and cad is shot and killed by a jealous husband and returns to earth    
to seek revenge for his murder.  But the notorious Charlie has been reincarnated as a young    
woman, and has been transported right back with the same group of friends and lovers he        
knew so well before his death.  As he begins to live life as a woman, he begins the                 
realization of his past sins and who Charlie is now becoming.  The transition is anything but       
smooth, and the challenges along the way make for a hilarious comedy of redemption as a        
former lover and a best male friend relate to the female Charlie with surprising results.

Production Dates:

January 30-31; February 6-7-8 (Sunday matinee)-13-14, 2009

Rehearsals will begin the week of December 1, 2008.  
There will be no rehearsals the last two weeks of December, 2008.  
Rehearsals will resume the week of January 4, 2009.
