Myra, the newest feature film from the University of Akron's student film organization, The 2380 Project, is holding OPEN AUDITIONS for ALL MAJOR & MINOR ROLES in the movie!

Synopsis:
“Myra” centers around an ambitionless senator’s aide named Zach who, one night, has his world turned upside down when he comes across a beautiful girl named Myra.  The two begin to talk and Zach discovers that Myra is being chased by an old friend of hers, Alex, who wants to take her back home with him; against her own wishes.  As the story progresses, however, Zach learns there is much more to Myra than just what’s on the surface and the reason behind why Alex wants her back so badly is not the only secret she’s keeping from him.

Casting:
Zach – male - 20s
Myra – female - 20s
Senator Craig Wesson – male – 40 and up
Suzanne - female – 20s
Alex – male - 20s to early 30s
Clarissa – female - 20s to early 30s
There are also supporting cast and extras that will be needed.
- Senator Crawford, Reporter, Librarian, Police Officer, etc.

The Student Union is building 60. There is metered parking near the Union and the parking decks are open after 5pm on week days and all day on weekends.  The student union's address is as follows:

If you would like to bring a headshot that’s great but we will be taking video of your audition as well as a photograph. There will also be an information sheet for you to fill out at the casting call.

We are working on a shoe string budget right now so compensation will be done with credits and lunch on shoots.
