His translation of The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Bertolt Brecht was recently performed at Kent State University. Matthew is the Founding Artistic Director of deep ellum ensemble (NY) and, at present, is Associate Director of the English Theatre Berlin (Germany). The Cleveland Plain Dealer named his Peter Pan one of the Top 10 plays of 2007 while Cleveland Scene named him Best Director of 2007 (for Peter Pan) and named Our Town Best Revival in 2006. He is a member of SSDC.

Synopsis: One of the theater's great masterworks, A Doll's House tells the story of Nora Helmer, a childlike housewife who painfully comes of age and seeks to discover who she really is. In a daring new version, this 19th century drama is transformed into a play that seems remarkably contemporary.
