[NEohioPAL] LOOKING FOR CHARISMATIC ACTOR FOR ORIGINAL ONE-MAN-SHOW

Hello All,

I have written a One-Act play titled, If Trees Could Talk, and am seeking a talented, charismatic male actor (age 20-50) to take on the lead role. The show is divided into 8 scenes. 

Brief Synopsis: Successful Russian poet, Pavel Baranova, is all washed up and desperately trying to reinvent himself in America. To overcome his writer’s block, Pavel stays in seclusion in a rustic cabin in the woods for a few seasons. Eventually, through loneliness and lack of inspiration, he befriends a Mighty Oak Tree that he believes is trying to communicate with him in hopes of helping him become great again.

I am looking for an actor who can portray spitefulness, aggression, craziness, loneliness, but above all, still be able to show a kind heart and a certain gentleness—and a Russian accent!

The venue for this performance will be at one of four places in Mentor, Ohio.

Compensation for performance/gas will depend upon the venue, but cannot be promised. Rehearsals will take place in Mentor around January or February. This is an excellent play to showcase one’s acting range.
