beginning at 6:30 pm in the Corning Auditorium

Requirements
Appointment Needed
Call Ann Hedger at 440-951-7500 x103 to sign up for an appointment
- Come prepared with a memorized short monologue from a play, poem book
or the back of a cereal box.  
The more creative the better - need to communicate a character.
(Check it out!-Audition and monologue books are available at the
Willoughby Library in downtown Willoughby. At the top of the stairs turn
left and at the first corner turn left again. The section is marked
"Worrallo Fine Arts Collection" and also includes a collection of visual
arts books. The librarians will be happy to assist you if you need help
finding it.)
- Come prepared with a short song.
- Bring sheet music in the proper key.
- An accompanist will play for all auditioners.
 
Casting Information
No AEA contracts are available for this production.
Needed:   Cast of approximately 30-40 children between the ages of 6 (by
audition date)-18 years old
All roles are open/possible doubling

Josephina, Grandma Georgina, Grandpa George, Grandpa Jo, James, Matilda,

Violet Beauregarde, Mrs. Beauregarde, Mike Teavee, Ms. Teavee,
Oompa-Loompas, Candy Man Kids, Cooks, Squirrels
 
 
Rehearsals Begin
Monday, January 5.  Rehearsals will be Sunday thru Wednesdays.
 
Performance Dates 
February 27 thru March 15, 2009 - includes 2 daytime performances.

About the show:
Roald Dahl's timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest
to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of "Charlie and
the Chocolate Factory," which features the songs from the classic family
film "Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory."
