Lorain County Metro Parks and TrueNorth Cultural Arts is presenting a
holiday classic with the performance of *The Christmas Schooner: A
Musical*at the French Creek Nature Center on December 5, 6, 11, 12,
and 13 at 7:30pm
and December 7 and 14 at 3pm.  French Creek Nature Center is located at 4530
Colorado Ave in Sheffield Village, Ohio.



*The Christmas Schooner* is a holiday treasure that all will enjoy.  Based
on historical events, join Michigan shipping captain Peter Stossel as he
braves the winter elements and travels across Lake Michigan to bring
Christmas trees to homesick German American families in turn-of-the-century
Chicago.  His voyages become a yearly tradition despite his wife's
misgivings – until a fateful voyage makes her realize the true importance of
his mission.



This critically acclaimed musical includes themes of sacrifice and
compassion, the true meaning of the holidays.  It is no surprise that with
its powerful, moving story and exquisite score, *The Christmas Schooner* is
a holiday classic.



The cast includes: Kim Ceja, Caron Collister, Rick Fortney, Mary Lu Franks,
Brett Hall, Bob Kenderes, Jo Ann Kureck, Cody Lumsden, Angie Lynard, Craig
Mcklveen, Jessica Mester, Isabel Sanchez, Nancy Spencer, John Tamesis and
Katrina Walker.
