ANOTHER LITTLE FISH ARTIST,
DAVID WELLS, NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY

Cleveland, Ohio – Little Fish Records has received confirmation that another one their artists, David Wells, has been nominated in this year’s Grammy Awards for his latest CD release:  “Friday Afternoon”, which is currently charting at #31 on the national Smooth Jazz charts (www.smoothjazz.com).  The CD has been placed in the category of Best Pop/Instrumental album and is available at the Little Fish website, www.littlefishrecords.com, at area record/book stores, and at all the major digital download sites.   David Wells is the second Little Fish Records’ artist to be nominated for this year’s Grammy Awards, along with folk artist, Alex Bevan.  Both artists are extremely pleased to be recognized for their accomplishments by their peers.
David Wells is a gifted flugelhorn and trumpet player who hails from a small town in West Virginia.  Wells released five independent instrumental CDs before signing with Little Fish Records in June of 2008.  In 2006, the release of his single, “More Love, More Power” brought national acclaim on smooth jazz radio and reached #13 on the R&R Indicators.  Additionally, his performance of “Strawberry Letter #23”, charted as high as #10 in 2007.  It was at that point he was officially endorsed by Conn and Selmer, the world’s largest manufacturing company of band instruments.  His television and sports appearances included performing at a Columbus Blue Jackets game which aired on ESPN2, and performing for the Cincinnati Reds.  He was featured in several Christian music magazines and networks, WTAP-TV’s (NBC) “Daybreak”, and numerous Christian conferences.  In 2007, David’s career expanded to include a guest appearance
on the national television show “Studio Jams” which has over 10 million viewers on the BET Network.  He then released a holiday single, “Deck the Halls” which became the #1 most added song on Smooth Jazz radio stations nationwide.  All the while, his success with radio was not translating into record sales, as he had no label or distribution in place until he signed on with Little Fish Records.  For more information on David Wells, go to: www.davidwellsonline.com  .  For information on this year’s Grammy Awards, go to:  www.grammy.com .
