> Acting 101: Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know About Acting

> This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental tools of
> acting. Using games, scenes, monologues, and exercises to provide students
> with a solid understanding of how to create a character, analyze a text,
> and utilize important acting vocabulary.  Students will begin to
> understand the demands placed on professional actors and the process of
> developing a role.  Students will leave the course feeling confident about
> their acting process and how to perform truthfully on stage.

> Wednesdays 7-9:30 PM

> This course is designed to introduce the experienced actor to the basics
> of acting on film.  Students will learn basic camera terminology, how to
> act for different shot sizes, and how to approach different genres
> including, drama, sit-coms, and commercials.  Students will work on scenes
> and monologues from both TV and Film and learn how to communicate
> effectively on screen.  Scenes will be taped and recorded and viewed in
> class.
