Open auditions for high school girls (from any high school):

 

AUDITIONS FOR THE UNIVERSITY SCHOOL SPRING MUSICAL:

 

                                  A CLASS ACT 

 

Monday, February 9-  4:00-7:00 PM   SING

               Prepare (and memorize) a full song (not just 16 bars)

               An accompanist will be provided

               You must have sheet music (no a cappella singing)

 

Tuesday, February 10- 6:00-9:00 PM  ACT

                Reading from the script

                Audition packets with scenes from the play will be
available to you at the US receptionist's office

                    beginning Monday, January 26 (hours: 7:45 AM-4:30
PM, 4:00 PM on Fridays) 

                

Wednesday, February 11-  6:00-9:00 PM   DANCE

                Come dressed to dance 

 

Thursday, February 12-  callbacks (if necessary)

 

Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, February 17

All rehearsals will be Monday thru Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:30 PM

Two exceptions: Sunday, April 26 and Sunday, May 3 (both rehearsals are
from 1:00-6:00 PM)

No rehearsals the weeks of March 16 and March 23 (US spring break)

 

Performance dates: Wednesday, May 6 (during the school day)

                                  Thursday (May 7), Friday (May 8),
Saturday (May 9) evenings  

 

Plot: Nominated for 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Book of a
Musical, Original Score, Actress, and Orchestration, A CLASS ACT tells
the story of Ed Kleban, who won the Tony Award himself for Best Lyrics
for A CHORUS LINE. 

Characters: 6 Men,   4 Women,  plus a small ensemble
