Hudson Players Ready National Premier of

"An Evening With The Taffetas and Cardigans"

Fun 50's Harmony Group Musical Premier to be presented in February,

Sponsored by Laurel Lake Foundation

The Hudson Players are readying the national premier of the back-to-back,
fun 50's musical journey - An Evening With the Taffetas and Cardigans,
created by Rick Lewis and sponsored by the Laurel Lake Foundation. The show
is a spoof biography that features the 'reunion' of two 50's era harmony
groups presented with stylized humor and a whiz bang good time. While the
two shows have been presented separately before, this marks the first time
the two separate musicals have been joined into one show, with creator Rick
Lewis making revisions specifically so that the Hudson Players could present
them in one great fun filled evening for the first time ever. Thus the show
promises to be unique, clever and enjoyable for anyone who likes fantastic
harmonies, great retro humor and a hubba, bubba kick of a good time! As
evidence, the Cardigans is even the Winner of the 1990 New York Bistro Award
for Outstanding Musical Revue!

(Tickets are available now at www.hudsonplayers.com.)

So get out your poodle skirts, hairspray and cardigan sweaters. Goofy and
winsome with smiles that won't quit, the shows promise the audience the same
by featuring such great songs as: Mr. Sandman, Johnny Angel, Where the Boys
Are, Valerie, Mack the Knife, In The Still of the Night, Beep Beep,
Unchained Melody and more.

An Evening With the Taffetas and Cardigans is being directed by Matthew
Dolan, with Choreography by Erica Haynes. It is being produced by Adrienne
Dickson and Stage Managed by Michelle Dolciato. The show features Kathy
Steiner, Libby Merriman, Natalie Mallis and Adrienne Dickson as The Taffetas
and Tom Cirner, Jim Marzullo, Jim Wolf and Tim Steiner as The Cardigans.

The Taffetas tells the story of Kaye, Peggy, Cheryl and Donna, four singing
sisters from Muncie, Indiana reminiscing about making their national
television singing debut on "Spotlight on Music," a fictitious weekly 1950's
television show on the real-life Dumont Television Network. This serves as
the framework for an evening of some of the greatest girl group hits of the
1950's including the sounds of The McGuire Sisters, The Fontane Sisters and
The Chordettes. Opening Off-Broadway almost two years before "Forever
Plaid", The Taffetas made nostalgia what it is today!

THE Cardigans hailed from Wooster, Ohio - the College of Wooster, to be
exact! Chuck, Frankie, Johnny and Buddy reunite to reflect on their
graduation when they left behind their pals at Alpha Mu Phi Pi. They
reminisce about embarking on their first live personal appearance tour,
their college days, their ex-girlfriends, their childhoods as sons of
Protestant ministers, and their unexpected fame as singing idols. They'll
sing some of the greatest hits of the 1950's. The Cardigans is music, fun
and harmony.

Performance dates are February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 27 & 28. Tickets
