[NEohioPAL] EVENT: "RENT" at Hawken School

Hawken School’s winter musical, Rent: School Edition, has two remaining  
performances scheduled for February 20 & 21. Performances will be held  in the 
Kennedy Auditorium at the Gates Mill campus at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5  general 
admission, $12 for patrons and reserved seating. To reserve tickets,  please 
call 440-423-4446, ext. 430. Please note: due to the subject matter, the  
production is not recommended for students younger than middle school  age.

Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning revolutionary rock opera  tells the 
story of a group of bohemians struggling to express themselves through  their 
art and “measuring their lives in love.” Against the gritty backdrop of  New 
York’s East Village, these friends strive for success and acceptance while  
enduring the obstacles of poverty, illness and the AIDS epidemic. 

The  principle roles in Hawken’s production are played by Evan Schreiber, 
Myles  Simmons, Terra Writz , Brian Huser, Alexis Floyd, Ben Sala, Ryan Smith, 
and  Adrienne Krol; they are joined by over 50 additional cast and crew members. 
 Directed by Michael Larochelle and Sergio Castellanos.
