Hudson Players Seek Crew Volunteers for "Guys & Dolls"  

Hudson's Community Theater Seeking Volunteers to Work on Production

 

Hudson, OH February 20, 2009 - The Hudson Players are currently seeking
volunteers to work on the all the production aspects of the classic and fun
"Guys & Dolls" to be presented April 24 & 25, May 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 15 & 16 at
the Barlow Community Center at 41 S. Oviatt St in Hudson. The all volunteer,
non-profit community theater group is currently seeking volunteers to help
with all aspects of the production including set construction, set painting,
scenic artists, lights, sound, props, costumes, publicity, make up, and
more. No experience is necessary, just a desire to participate, make friends
and be part of a quality theater production. Auditions are open to all with
no restrictions. Those interested are asked to either attend auditions this
Sunday and Monday (February 21 & 22) and complete a sheet indicating areas

GUYS & DOLLS will be presented as part on the long running community theater
troupe's 64th Season. Many say that this show is the perfect musical comedy.
Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romantic and
comedic event soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a
cast of vivid characters who have become legends in musical theater history.
Nathan, Sky, Adelaide, Sarah and assorted other guys and dolls, sing through
such hits as "Luck Be A Lady," "Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat" and more.
There is plenty of excitement, but everything works out in the end, thanks
to the machinations of Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling's hilarious, fast-paced
book and Frank Loesser's bright, brassy, immortal score, which takes us from
the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the
sewers of New York City. Funny, fast paced and romantic, Guys And Dolls is
the ideal musical.

 

The Hudson Players are currently presenting AN EVENING WITH THE TAFFETAS AND
CARDIGANS, a back to back, fun, 50's, musical journey throughout the month

group, senior and student discounts available. Fundraising opportunities are
