Good News!  Good neighbors are possible!  This is the message of "THE LAW OF
LOVE", an upbeat, uplifting musical rendition of the Good Samaritan Story by
local playwright/composer Sharon Alberson.   Spiced with comic relief and
contemporary flair, "The Law of Love" has something for everyone--
toe-tapping Dixieland, country western, Gospel blues and contemporary
ballads.  It's message of hope:  in spite of crooked lawyers, robbers, thugs
and thieves and a greedy, gossipy innkeeper, a Good Samaritan and her donkey
find a way to help a neighbor in need.

 

"The Law of Love" will be presented at St. Paul's Episcopal Church,
Saturday, March 7, 2008, at 3:00p.m. and 7:00p.m.  Tickets are $10 for
adults and $5 for children 12 and under.  For further information, call
330-922-1990.  All proceeds will benefit Akron's Faith in Action -
Interfaith Caregivers, an outreach ministry (celebrating its 25th
anniversary this year) that helps the elderly, isolated and homebound
members of our community remain independent.

 

 

Sharon Alberson is a graduate of Kent State University, The University of
Akron School of Law, Harvard Divinity School and Oxford University.  She is
a member of the Ohio Bar and an ordained minister with The United Church of
Christ.
