Ashtabula Arts Center Offers New Class in Hop Hop

 

The Ashtabula Arts Center will be offering a new class:

 

"Jazz-Funk/Hip Hop"

with dance instructor Beth Leslie.

for teens and adults

Wednesdays from 7 - 8 p.m.

The class will run for 8 weeks beginning April 1.

Cost of the class is $60 for the 8-week session.

Students will explore technique with a strong Hip-Hop influence that will be danced with a strong Jazz-Funk style.  Students should wear comfortable clothing they can move in plus jazz shoes, sneakers or bare feet.

 

Dance instructor Beth Lesie was born and raised in N.J. and has been teaching for 22 years.  She was trained in dance by Kempson-NJ; Broadway Dance Center, Steps, and The Dance Studio-NY. She has performanced with 22nd Century Jazz Ensemble, Star DJ's, Brothers in Rhythym, Candlewood Theatre, Berea Summer Theatre, Pax Amicus Little Theatre.  She has worked as a choreographer's assistant and taught at Dance by Kempson, Ballet Barre and Branchville Dance Center and has also choreographed for national competitions.
