I would greatly appreciate it if you could include the following
advertisement for our upcoming production of Street Scene in the Digests for
this week. If this could be included until Sunday, April 5, that would be
great. Thank you so much for all that you do!

A spirited portrayal of a Manhattan tenement in 1946, Kurt Weill’s “Street
Scene: An American Opera” is coming to Daum Theatre in Kolbe Hall at the
University of Akron, on April 1-4. Jazz, the blues, spirituals, and Rogers
and Hammerstein songs provide the musical background for the UA School of
Music production directed by James Mismas. The UA Symphony Orchestra,
conducted by Guy Victor Bordo, will accompany the cast.

Performances are April 1-3 at 8 p.m. and April 4 at 2 p.m. Tickets are
available in advance and at the door while seats remain. Prices are $10 for
general admission; $8 for seniors, UA faculty, staff, alumni, and parents of
current UA students; and $5 for non-UA students. Admission is free for UA
students when they show their Zip Card.

For more information call 330-972-8301, e-mail concerts at uakron.edu or visit
