Smoke And Mirrors parodies all the movies you have ever seen that portray the Black character stereotypically. ~Gregory S. Carr
Gregory S. Carr, from St. Louis, Missouri is a playwright who specializes in a down home flavor, which runs throughout his writings. He is not afraid to 'stir the pot' Mr. Carr is the author of Johnny Taylor's Gone and The Colored Funeral, both world premiere productions, and box office hits at Karamu in past seasons. With this play, Gregory uses the clever edge of satire to fine tune his characters. Carr has once again exercised the mind with this parody.
'Rufus Rastus Johnson Brown', his character of focus, is to be released from his Hackneyed curse if he can get a direct descendant of the Labyrinth Studio's to write him out of their movies.
