Slam U - Teen Poetry Slam Competition FINALS

Northeast Ohio's best teen poets will compete for five spots on Cleveland's National Youth Poetry Slam Team at the Slam U Finals on Friday, April 17 at 7 pm in the Ohio Theatre at PlayhouseSquare.  The MC for the evening will be Shihan The Poet of Def Poetry Jam fame.

Admission is FREE.  Tickets can be obtained at the PlayhouseSquare Ticket Office (1519 Euclid Ave.) or online at playhousesquare.org/artseducation.

The April 17 event is the culmination of this year's Slam U program at PlayhouseSquare -  three months of workshops, after-school drop-in sessions and practice slams.  All Slam U events are free of charge to participating teens.  This is made possible by the generosity of individual and corporate donors and sponsors including The Cleveland Foundation, The Human Fund and The Michael Pender Memorial Fund of The Cleveland Foundation.
