Before I Die: The War Against Tupac Shakur

Rehearsals:
	* Rehearsals will begin on or around April 20, 2009.
	* Rehearsals will usually run Monday – Friday  6:00 – 10:00 pm., and some weekend dates. 
 
Audition Requirements:
	* Please come prepared with 2 contrasting monologues
	* There will be sides for you to read at the audition.
	* Please come prepared for movement and improvisation.
	* Please bring 8x10 Headshot and Resume     
	* Check your calendar for any conflicts before auditioning (see “Before I Die: The War Against Tupac Shakur” performance dates and rehearsal dates above).

About the Show
This play is a powerful new work by local playwright Mike Oatman, about the late rapper/actor. From a Las Vagas Penthouse, an isolated Tupac Shakur, two days before his death, attempts to arrange a meeting with rival rap superstar Biggie Smalls.

Tupac               A Conflicted Hip-Hop artist who has arrived at the crossroads of his life
Marion             A smart, ruthless, record company owner
Rome               an underling
Charlene           a female fan
Christopher      A rival Hip Hop Artist
Brad                 A haplees husband
Stoval               A smallist, African American concert promoter
