Who:                           Daniel Schuetz, noted countertenor; and Lisa
Litteral, soprano; with Katie Oldham, mezzo-soprano; Peter Bush, baritone;
Janina                                          Ceaser, harpsichordist; and
chamber ensemble.

 

What:                          Masterpieces from George Frideric Handel's
Giulio Cesare in Egitto, in tribute to the great soprano Beverly Sills,
whose career was launched by this work, creating the renaissance of today's
early-music opera movement and the re-birth of the countertenor.

Dr. Schuetz, who has his doctorate in voice from Michigan State University,
teaches at Heidelberg College in Tiffin OH. Dr. Litteral, whose doctorate is
from the Cleveland Institute of Music, teaches locally at the Beaumont
School and Ursuline College. Both singers have performed and taught at the
Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan. Harpsichordist Janina Ceaser
teaches at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
