Hudson Players to Open “GUYS AND DOLLS” This Weekend

Opening Night Reception with Cast Afterwards on April 24th and Cheesecake
Reception to Attendees of their April 25th Performance. 

 

 

The Hudson Players are preparing to open their production of the award
winning musical, GUYS AND DOLLS, on Friday, April 24th, and are offering
those who attend the opening night the chance to meet the cast afterwards
with an opening night reception featuring free appetizers and a cash bar. At
theSaturday performance on April 25th attendees will get a chance to taste
some cheesecake and strudel after the show at a complimentary cheesecake and
strudel reception.

 

“Cheesecake and strudel are both mentioned in the great script by Abe
Burrows and Jo Swerling, so we thought folks might be hungry for them after
the show,” said Michelle Dolciato, co-coordinator of the reception.
“Besides, we figure any excuse to taste great cheesecake and strudel is a
good one. Attendees can also weigh in as to which they prefer, which will
help us answer the question posed in the show.”

 

Not that anyone should need added incentive to attend a show that has been
called “the perfect musical comedy”. In fact GUYS AND DOLLS excellence and
enjoyability has been recognized over the years with 15 Tony Awards, four
Academy Awards nominations and two Golden Globe Awards, including Best
Picture. 

 

Featuring such great Frank Loesser songs as “Luck be a Lady”, “Fugue for
Tinhorns” and “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat,” Guys AND Dolls will leave
audiences humming well known songs and smiling from the laughs they had had
throughout the production. Guys And Dolls is ideal for audiences of any age
and is not to be missed fun.

In addition, the theater has added a new dinner and show option in
conjunction with Hudson’s Restaurant that offers those attending the option
of seeing GUYS AND DOLLS and having dinner for two at the low cost of $55
per couple.  Available with any evening performance, patrons will have a 6
p.m. seating at Hudson’s Restaurant where each couple will choose an
appetizer, two entrée’s and one dessert. Gratuity and beverages are not
included and the offer is only valid on the ticketed performance evening.
Afterwards, patrons can drive down the road to the nearby Barlow Community
Center where reserved seats and a great production of GUYS AND DOLLS will
await them. 

 


Performance dates are April 24 & 25 and May 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 15 & 16. Dinner
and show packages are $55 per couple and are only available by calling the
reservation number at 330-655-8522. Seating is limited. Individual show only
