Come one, come all!  Join in the family fun over at Magnificat's Center for the Performing Arts to see Boy Wanted by William Ross!

I would like to cordially invite you to come see a show you’ve probably never heard of before.  Boy Wanted is a comedy written by William Ross who weaves many silly happenings into one sorority room.  This family friendly play has been re-set to London, 1959 to add some spice with British accents as well as to tie into the season’s theme of the 50s, due to Magnificat’s 50th graduating class this year.


So what’s it about?


Picture this:  an all-girls boarding school, two runaway boys, a student getting engaged, an old housemother trying to keep her job, secret faculty relationships, a set of parents reuniting, writing the graduation speech, cutting up draperies... and all of this is happening the night before graduation!  The plot just keeps unfolding while twisting in British lingo makes it all the more fun!


There are over 75 students involved in the cast and on the crew.  In addition to all of our Magnificat students, the gentlemen involved in the cast are from St. Ignatius High School and St. Edward’s High School. All of these students have been working since February to perfect their characterizations, accents, blocking, and learning about London in the 1950s just for your pure entertainment!


Please join us for a guaranteed fun time at Magnificat High School. In this hard time of financing, know that you can go just around the corner for a fraction of the price to see a good, quality show, instead of going downtown, paying for parking and sitting in the nosebleed section of the auditorium.
