Dear Friends,
CityMusic Cleveland has been celebrating its 5th Anniversary all
season long, and our grand finale is coming up, May 5-10. The program,
entitled "Heaven & Earth" features the Jupiter Symphony by Mozart and
the Mass in G Major by Mendelssohn, under the baton of music director
James Gaffigan. The Mass also features soloists Chabrelle Williams
(soprano), Roy Hage (tenor), and Matthew Hayward (baritone), and the
celebrated new professional choir, Quire Cleveland.
As always, CityMusic Cleveland concerts are FREE, all over the
northeast Ohio area. You'll find details for the venues and times
below. Some venues offer free childcare.
We would very much appreciate any help you can give in promoting these
concerts. I'd be happy to do whatever I can to help set up a phone
interview, provide additional information, photos, etc.
Thanks so much for your consideration!
Cordially,
Bev

Celebrate Heaven & Earth with CityMusic Cleveland
CityMusic Cleveland invites you to a FREE gala celebration, the finale
of its 5th Anniversary Season, with six concerts entitled "Heaven &
Earth" performed May 5-10, throughout northeast Ohio.
The program features both secular and sacred music, sure to appeal to
every music lover. The high-energy musicians of CityMusic's
professional chamber orchestra, under the baton of prize-winning
maestro James Gaffigan, will perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Jupiter
Symphony (No. 41). They will be joined by soloists Chabrelle Williams
(soprano), Roy Hage (tenor), and Matthew Hayward (baritone), and the
celebrated new professional choir, Quire Cleveland, to perform Felix
Mendelssohn's Mass in G Major (No. 2).
With a mission to build community through the arts, CityMusic offers
music to please everyone, whether you’re new to classical music or a
seasoned concertgoer. Since its founding in 2004, the orchestra has
entertained tens of thousands of Ohioans in concert, and thousands
more through its radio broadcasts. Through one hundred concerts -- all
free -- plus an after-school education program for elementary school
children -- and CityMusic has managed to operate without a deficit.
This is possible through the generosity of local and national
foundations, as well as hundreds of individual gifts, large and small.
At the intermission receptions, audience members will enjoy the
exquisite paintings of Cleveland artist Jeff Yost. Everyone is
welcome; no tickets are required.
