“FORBIDDEN BROADWAY” OPENS THE 2009 HUNTINGTON PLAYHOUSE SEASON
 
The 51st season at Huntington Playhouse opens with the musical comedy review “Forbidden Broadway”.  The production under the direction of Kevin Joseph Kelly, Heidi Herczeg as the musical director, and costumes by David Glowe opens May 7th and runs through May 31.
 
This is the first Cleveland area community theatre production of this funny and satiric look at some of the biggest Broadway musicals and their stars.  The show includes song parodies from “Fiddler on the Roof”, “ Chicago”, “Wicked”, and “Les Miz” and  comic takes on Broadway performers like Carol Channing, Chita Rivera, Liza Minnelli, and Mandy Patinkin.  The talented cast includes:  Ian Atwood,Tom Castro,Trey Gilpin, Jennifer Glowe, Linsay Pier, Dawn Sniadak, and Jacob Wadenpfuhl.
 
The theatre is offering tickets to the Saturday night, May 9th performance for $10.00.  This price is good for this one night only and tickets must be paid for and picked up in advance.  Reservations are strongly recommended by calling the box office at 440-871-8333.
