"VERONICA'S ROOM"

If you liked "Rosemary's Baby", you'll love "Veronica's Room". This chilling mystery thriller was written by the same author, Ira Levin. It explores the thin line between fantasy and reality, madness and murder. Show dates are Fridays & Saturdays, May 8-23 at 8PM; there will be a Sunday matinee on May 17 at 3PM. The production will be staged at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building on the Broadview Center property (9543 Broadview). The building is just past the Police Department. Tickets are $10 for adults and $9 for seniors. (Note that the show contains adult situations and language; parental guidance is recommended.) The show is directed by Alex Nine with the assistance of Kendra Schaefer and features Chris Boros, Pat Petipas, Linda Ryan, and Jackie Phelps. Online reservations may be made at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org or call 440/526-4404.

Synopsis: Students Susan and Larry find themselves as guests enticed to the Brabissant mansion by its dissolute caretakers the lonely Mackeys. Struck by Susan's strong resemblance to Veronica Brabissant, long- dead daughter of the family for whom they work, the older couple gradually induce her to impersonate Veronica briefly to solace the only living Brabissant, her addled sister who believes Veronica alive.
