*St. Thomas More Youth Ministry presents 10th annual spring musical
with Thoroughly
Modern Millie Jr running May 15, 16 and 17*



APRIL 27, 2009 (Brooklyn, OH) – For the 10th consecutive year, the Youth
Ministry of St. Thomas More will present a Broadway Jr musical. This year,
the 6th, 7th and 8th graders will sing and dance in *Thoroughly Modern
Millie Jr* – an upbeat musical set in the “flapper era” of the 1920s. Three
performances are scheduled, starting with an 8 pm show on Friday, May 15,
another 8 pm show on Saturday, May 16, and a 3 pm afternoon performance on
Sunday, May 17.

All performances will be in the auditorium of St. Thomas More School at 4170
North Amber Drive in Brooklyn, OH. All seats are reserved. For ticket
reservations, call 216-661-4736. Tickets will also be available at the door.
Tickets – for all ages – are $7. Proceeds from ticket sales support the
activities of the St. Thomas More Youth Ministry.

*Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr* is part of the Broadway Jr. series of plays
created especially to be performed by young people. Allison Gorczyca is
playing the title role of Millie, with Anthony Gasper as Jimmy, and Macie
McNichols as Miss Dorothy. Also in the cast are Zach Viets as Mr.
Graydon,  Kalynn
Bell as Mrs. Meers,  Jack Mazzeo as Ching Ho, and Madison Miranda as Bun
Foo.

Musical numbers include “Jimmy,” and  – the title song of the show –
“Thoroughly Modern Millie.”

This is the 10th consecutive year Susan Sidley is directing the annual
spring musical. She is joined by choreographer Mindy Novatny, vocal director
Katie Cooper, technical director Jeff Stutzman, and costume designer Diana
Spring Sidley.
