Through storytelling, children will develop an early awareness of rhythm,
movement, singing, and drama. Each lesson features a new tale from around
the world, explored through multi-instrument and multi-cultural elements.
All told, it’s an around-the-imagination adventure of the greatest stories
from Europe, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.  *Fee:  $124*  *Home

*Theater Tots*

*Calling our littlest stars to stage!  A pre-school introduction to the
world of acting.  Students will have the opportunity to shine “on stage”,
exploring their imaginations and creativity while working together, sharing,
and helping each other.  Must be potty trained.  Fee:  $75*

memory from your summers past. Play Eye Spy and find shapes in the clouds to
pass the time. Take imaginary trips in a bus named Van Go to fun-filled
vacation destinations such as the carnival, a summer cottage, and the beach.

JAZZ JAM! **

Study a different jazz pioneer each day:  Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington,
Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, and Bessie Smith.  We’ll be busy with many fun
activities:  Singing, movement, improvisation, recorder, mallets and
un-tuned percussion instruments. Class is structured using a whole-child
format with an emphasis on the development of critical-thinking skills.*Fee:

*Joy of Singing and Songwriting*

Kids get their creative juices flowing and try their hand at songwriting
with Miss Maria.  Singing in a group and trying solos for those who are
comfortable will give your child a chance to shine.  A performance of their
original work for family and friends will be held on the last day of class.

Play, laugh, and learn!  Children will participate in art, music, literacy
and mathematics games and more while learning the skills needed for success
in Kindergarten, both academic and social.  The instructor will assess the
children at the beginning of the week, cater  the curriculum to meet their
needs, and give a summer packet at the end of the week based on your child’s
skills to allow them to practice at home and feel confident they are ready
for their kindergarten year.   *Fee:  $125  Material Fee: $5* (paid to

We’ll give your child a rocket boost to zoom into 1st grade with the
confidence and skills to put him/her ahead of the game.  We’ll  help make
the transition to 1st grade a smooth one by getting your child where he/she
needs to be academically and socially.  The instructor will make sure your
child has the Kindergarten standards and skills as well as give him/her a
head start on the 1st grade standards.  A home packet designed for your
child’s individual needs will be given at the end of the week to allow you
to work at home through out the summer to retain and build on his/her

*Acting I*

Let your light shine!  This course is designed to introduce children to
acting.  Children will learn basic theatre terminology, the audition
process, will memorize and perform monologues, and will rehearse and perfrom
a short play.  Theatrical concepts will also be taught through the use of
several iomprovisational games.  Suitable for students of all experience
levels.  *Fee:  $125*

cardboard boxes and sing over the German mountain tops. Toss peanuts on the
floor and bring good luck to one's home in this Japanese custom. Send
messages in Nigeria with "talking drums*." Fee:  $125*  *Home

folders, and a travel

*Musical Theatre Dance I*

Would your child like to try out for musicals?  This class will get them
ready!  Students will have a blast learning various styles of dance that are
used in theatre.  Practice dance warm ups, basic moves for styles including
ballet, jazz, tap and more.  Students will have the opportunity to perform
for family and friends at the end of camp. Designed for students of all

Does you child love the box, more than their shoes? Then this is the camp
for them!  They will have a great time "recycling" your household items into
artful masterpieces! Your child will get a chance to use their creative
vision to transform "trash" into "treasures!" At the same time, they will
learn about how we can impact the world and their community in large and
small ways. We will incorporate art, theater, and literacy into this
fun-filled week!

Requirements:

Start collecting "safe" recyclables! Plastic containers (such as coffee, or
snacks), cereal boxes, shoe boxes, anything that is rinsed and not a danger
to small fingers! (i.e no jagged edged cans)  *Fee:  $125*  *Material Fee:

family outing on Friday to Crystal Lake (in the Village of Silver Lake) to

So you want to be in movies?!  This course explores theatre and acting even
further.  Students will learn stage terminology and basic acting techniques
through the use of improvisational games and other exercises.  Students will

for future audition opportunities.  Have fun learning a short play to be

Every day we’ll explore and celebrate a different Disney story!  Children

This class introduces students to the works of theatre beyond just
acting.  Each
day of this camp will focus on a different aspect of theatre: costumes, set
design, sound and music, puppetry, and acting.  Students will thrill in the
exploration of theatre through games, crafts, and activities.  *Fee:  $125*

*Hip Hop Rocks*

 No experience necessary…let’s have some fun!  Kids will learn moves from
popular hip hop songs.  They’ll be the envy of all their friends with the
latest and coolest hip hop moves and have a great time making new friends at
this up beat, fun filled hip hop dance camp.  *Fee:  $125  Material Fee:
$30* (to be paid to the instructor on the first day of class)**

*Art Exploration with Miss Emily*

*Come join us this summer for 10 weeks of fun and learning through Art
Exploration.  Set your child’s imagination free!  We will have a wide
variety of mediums to enable your child to utilize his abilities to explore
color, texture and to get those creative juices flowing.  Classes will be
once a week and will be divided by ages 18 month to 3 years, 3 to 5 years,
and 5 to 7 years.  Each program will be appropriate to age and the
development of the participants.  *

*Fee:  $40 per month charged the first weeks of June, July, and
August.  Material

Toddlers will use textures and colors to explore art with various mediums.
Your child will make and then build with homemade (edible!) colored
playdough.  Shaving cream in different shades, along with finger paints and
fabric swatches give your child a first-hand, eye-popping, hands-on (ie
messy) and FUN learning experience of the world of texture and art.  We’ll
use bubbles as a way to experiment with different sizes and shapes. We can
make bubble wands using pipe cleaners, straws, and cookie cutters.

*3 to 5 years   Fridays 10:30-11:15am*

Your child will be using art exploration in ways to learn important motor
skills through the use of watercolor painting, making and building edible
playdough. We’ll make bubble solution and then experiment with different
sizes and shapes of bubble wands that your child will make using pipe
cleaners, straws, cookie cutters and his imagination to explore which ones
make the best bubbles—physics in action!

*5 to 7 years  Wednesdays 10:30-11:15 or Fridays 9:30-10:15*

We’ll use stories, music and guided imagery to inspire your child’s
imagination.  We’ll have paints, edible playdough that your child will make
to sculpt, interpret and express themselves through art.  We can learn to
work as a group and alone building murals using a variety of mediums. In the
end of the 10 week session all children will have put together an art book
that they can take home to remember.
