*/THREE YEARS on BROADWAY/*
World Premiere Starring *HESTER LEWELLEN*
to benefit Aurora Community Theatre May 22 & 24

AURORA, OH (May 1, 2009) --- "Three Years on Broadway," the show-tune
studded story of one actor's struggle to make her big-stage dream come
true will make its world premiere at 8 p.m. May 22 and 24 to benefit
Aurora Community Theatre, 115 E. Pioneer Trail.

Hester Lewellen, one of Northeast Ohio's favorite performers, wrote and
stars in the autobiographical revue featuring the entertaining, often
poignant anecdotes, plus just the right songs to punctuate the roller
coaster life every performer faces in the world's toughest town for
actors, New York City.

Lewellen shares her journey from the hope of acting classes, the despair
of auditions, challenges of a professional working theater to the joy of
landing a leading role that sends her career on an upward spiral just as
her personal life takes a surprising nosedive.

The list of songs featured in "Three Years on Broadway" is attached.

David Keith Stiver, composer, conductor and orchestrator, arranged the
music and will accompany Lewellen. Stiver, who teaches at The Dana
School of Music at Youngstown State University, has served as music
director for musicals at Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, Aurora Community
Theatre and many others.

Lewellen, a popular local performer, has been seen on stage at Cleveland
Play House, Playhouse Square, Cain Park, Beck Center, Dobama, Karamu,
Ensemble Theatre, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre as well as in powerful
performances at Aurora Community Theatre including "70, Girls, 70"
(Melba, the singing waitress), "High Spirits" (Madame Arcati, the loony
medium), "Cabaret" (Fraulein Schneider, the heartbroken landlady) and
"The Wizard of Oz" (Miss Gultch/The Wicked Witch of the West).

Tickets, at $15 for adults, $10 for children 18 and under, include a
pre-show reception donated by Twiinz Catering at 7 p.m. Tickets can be
