"The fast-paced dialogue is funny and humorously inappropriate, with
“Dilbert” and *The Office* moments that are instantly recognizable to anyone
who has had to survive under a certifiable boss." Sacramento Bee

*Announces*

*Regional Premiere of *

*Big Boys *

* *

Actors’ Summit, Hudson’s Equity Professional Theater, will present the
regional premiere of *Big Boys* by Rich Orloff. *Big Boys* replaces *Laughter
in Three Languages* which has been cancelled. *Big Boys* will have a preview
performance on Thursday, May 14 with the official opening night on Friday,
May 15, 2009. The play will have twelve performances through May 31, 2009. The
play is performed Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 2
PM at the Actors’ Summit Theater in downtown Hudson. The production
featuresNeil Thackaberry and Keith E. Stevens.
*Big Boys* is directed by Constance Thackaberry, who directed *Nixon’s Nixon
* earlier this season.

*The Play*

*Big Boys* by Rich Orloff is a satirical look at climbing up the corporate
ladder in the time of Enron, AIG, and Bernie Madoff. Victor, the all
powerful evil corporate CEO, hires and mentors Norm, grooming him to move up
in the company to the executive office. The challenge for Victor is that
Norm has a fatal flaw – he’s a decent human being. Victor breaks down Norm’s
resistance to being “dishonest, disreputable and deceitful” by changing his
name, intruding into his private life and, in general abusing him. In the
end, Norm’s decency actually triumphs over Victor’s corruption.

The critics have been enthusiastic about the play: “Rip-roaringly funny. An
on-target skewering of the ethically murky cesspool among corporate
America’s elite. With its snappy dialogue and non-stop mayhem, *Big
Boys*proves a winner.” New York Times
  *Big Boys *“boasts the kind of rapid-fire repartee with which Matthau and
Lemmon would have had a field day.” *Variety *
