Dobama Theatre, soon to take over its new home across the street from the Heights Library on Lee Rd., presents a World Premiere by Cleveland Heights playwright Sarah Morton! DREAM/HOME, directed by Sonya Robbins, runs May 15 - June 7, 2009 at The Cleveland Play House's Brooks Theatre.
Home ownership is part of the American Dream. But what happens when that dream is no longer affordable? When a Cleveland schoolteacher takes on a mortgage she cant afford, it sets off a surprising and devastating chain of events within the community. In a series of poetic and provocative monologues, DREAM/HOME tells the stories of nine Cleveland residents dealing with the repercussions of the foreclosure crisis, and its impact on their neighborhoods, their families, and their dreams for the future.
DREAM/HOME opens on May 15 at CPH, 8500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH. Tickets are $8 - $22. For the Preview performance Thursday, May 14, tickets are only $8.
