AUDITIONS FOR YOUTH SHOW, "INTO THE WOODS, JR."
Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater
Monday and Tuesday, May 18th and 19th, at 6PM 
Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building (9543 Broadview Road - next to the Police Department)  
Ages 10 & up
Prepare a brief musical theater selection.  Bring sheet music.  No taped music, please. 
Bring a list of any conflicts between June 1 and July 26.
Callbacks will be May 20th at 6PM.  If necessary, readings from the script will occur during callbacks.  
The show runs July 16 -26, 2009.

Synopsis:  The Brothers Grimm "go Broadway" in this cockeyed fairy tale where all of your favorite characters (Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (of beanstalk fame) and The Witch) meet and interact on their journeys.  The sophisticated score by Stephen Sondheim has been adapted to make it easier, though still challenging, for the young talented singers and actors.  Into The Woods Junior is a funny and engaging way to get  young people to think about the stories with which they've grown up and the ethical issues raised therein.
