RENAISSANCE TO HOLD AUDITIONS FOR JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT

 

MANSFIELD, OHIO.  The Renaissance Performing Arts Association announces that the Renaissance Summer musical for 2009 will be the award winning Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on August 7th - 9th in the historical Renaissance Theatre.  Auditions for adult roles will be held on Saturday, June 6th from 10am – 3pm and Sunday, June 7th from 12:00 noon through 3:00PM at Music Moves Studio, 310 Marion Avenue in Mansfield.   Auditions for the children’s chorus (ages 10 and up) will be held on Saturday, June 7th from 4pm – 5pm at Music Moves Studio.  

 To schedule an audition time, call 419-522-2726, ext. 211.  All auditionees should come prepared to sing their best song and will need to provide their own sheet music.  Also be prepared to dance, if needed.  An accompanist will be provided.  For those who cannot attend in person, resumes and videotapes must be sent by Friday, June 5th to: Renaissance Summer Musical, Attn: Michael Thomas; PO Box 789, Mansfield, OH  44901-0789.  Joseph will be directed by the Renaissance Theatre’s Artist in Residence Michael Thomas, with production handled by Brandon Smith.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was the first collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
