Performance Dates July 23, 24 & 25 2009

 

The Amherst Sandstone Summer Theatre production of ONCE UPON A MATTRESS
is open to anyone residing in the Amherst School District over the age
of 15 as well as adults!

You do not need any previous experience in acting or theatre arts to
participate in this program. We are looking for people who want to share
their creative talents and enthusiasm with others in the community.

 

Registration begins Thursday, June 11 at 6:00pm to audition. There is a
$25.00 administration fee.

A brief orientation session will take place at 6:15pm.

Auditions will be held June 11 &12 beginning at 6:30pm

 

Audition Requirements:

 

*       Small picture of yourself

*       Come prepared with sheet music (24 measures each) of two songs,
one up-tempo and one ballad that are not from the show.

*       No boom boxes or acapella singing.

*       Dress in comfortable clothing and be prepared for movement.

*       Please prepare a comic monologue that is no more than one minute
in length.

 

Rehearsals will be held in the Steele High School Cafetorium beginning
June 15-July 22, 2009.

We are tentatively planning on rehearsals in the evenings from
6:30pm-9:30pm Monday -Friday. This is subject to change if too many
scheduling conflicts make it necessary to rehearse on weekends or during
the afternoon.
