[NEohioPAL] Summer Patriotic Concerts - TrueNorth Symphony

We have two concerts coming up very soon, and I want to invite musicians in
Northeast Ohio to join the TrueNorth Symphony for almost everyone's favorite
concerts of the year, the Patriotic Concerts.  We can use musicians in
almost every section, but we especially need to grow the string sections.
This would be a great way for college and advanced high school musicians to
get some symphonic experience this summer.

 

The first concert will be on June 20 at Lakeview Park in Lorain at 7:30 pm.
We will be on a stage on the beach, with what we expect to be a very large
audience on the grassy hill.  The concert will be narrated by Robert Conrad
of WCLV.

 

The second concert will be on the 4th of July at Miller Park in Avon Lake,
beginning about 8:30 pm and extending into the fireworks.  

 

At both concerts we will be performing the 1812 Overture, but at Miller Park
we will have synchronized fireworks!  I also hope to do the Copland "Fanfare
for the Common Man" if we can get a great brass team assembled.

 

Rehearsals are at 7:15 PM at the French Creek Nature Center, 4530 Colorado
Ave (Rte. 611) in Sheffield Village.  There will be rehearsals on the
following dates:

Sunday, June 7

Monday, June 8

Sunday, June 14

Monday, June 15

 

After the June 20 concert, we will have additional rehearsals to prepare for
July 4th on:

Monday, June 22

Sunday, June 29

Monday, June 30
