Fourth Annual Filipino Festival 2009
 
The fourth annual Filipino Festivalwill be held on
 
Sunday, June 21
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
 
Philippine Cultural and Civic Center
1975 West Ridgewood Dr.
Parma, Ohio
 
Filipino vendors | cultural dances |
performances | authentic Filipino food
 
This event is free and open to the public.
 
Festival highlights include:
 
-Featured performer the Retome Rondalla Group from Mentor, Ohio, performing Filipino music using an indigenous Rondalla instrument
 
-Filipino delicacies such as lechon, menudo, delicious pastries, desserts such as halo-halo, and many more from Kainan, a special Filipino food store in Parma, Ohio
 
 
This year, the event will showcase Filipino talent as an entrepreneur and a member of the Northeast Ohio community.   The event is sponsored by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce, with co-sponsors from USBank and the Philippine American Society of Ohio.
 
The Philippine Consul General will open the festival with a welcome address.  Philippine passport and citizenship renewals will also be available.
