The Ashtabula Arts Center is offering a new type of class for dancers this session. "Dance Forum" will introduce many aspects involved with a maturing dancer's knowledge of dance as an art form as well as a business. Students will explore different genres, choreographers and dance outlets. Along with discussion groups we will encompass topics such as resumes, auditions and networking. Students will learn to produce a mock performance using budgeting and marketing skills.
The class will be offered each Thursday
from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m.
for 8 weeks beginning June 18.
This class will be team taught by Shelagh Dubsky and Clover Robinson.
Pre-registration is required for all classes and workshops and can be made by calling the Ashtabula Arts Center at (440) 964-3396.
Cost of the class is $52 for the session.
Arts Center members will receive a discount on the price of all classes and workshops.
The Ashtabula Arts Center is funded in part by the Ohio Arts Council.
