*The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival Presents Antony & Cleopatra,*
*Opening this Weekend in Lincoln Park*

The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival will launch its 12th season of free
outdoor theater with William Shakespeare’s *Antony and Cleopatra*. The
production will open on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 at 7:00 pm in
Tremont’s Lincoln Park.

*Antony and Cleopatra* Director Alison Garrigan brings her unique style to
the stage in a new approach to one of Shakespeare's great tragedies. In this
production, the hostile Roman takeover of Cleopatra's Egypt has been
skillfully translated into a modern business maneuver. Cultures clash when
the professional “Romans” encounter the exotic punk-rock world of the
“Egyptians”.

In addition to *Antony and Cleopatra*, CSF will also be presenting *A
Winter's Ta*le, directed by Tyson Rand. *A Winter's Tale* opens at Lincoln
Park on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27 at 7:00 pm. The two
productions will then travel in repertory and be presented on Saturdays and
Sundays at various locations throughout Northeast Ohio.

As always, CSF performances are free and open to the public. By bringing
Shakespeare into communities and offering performances free of charge, the
Cleveland Shakespeare Festival makes quality theater accessible to all.

Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and seat
themselves prior to each outdoor performance. Rain spaces have been secured
for every venue so that performances can proceed, rain or shine. For more
