CAMEO'S "TWIST" ON OLIVER TWIST

The Cooperative Alliance of Medina Entertainment Organizations (CAMEO)
announces its seventh summer musical, Oliver!, adapted from the classic
Dickens novel "Oliver Twist."  The story follows Oliver's journey as an
orphan in nineteenth century London, with classic scores such as "You've
Got to Pick a Pocket or Two" and "As Long As He Needs Me."

The production will be directed by Bill Hoffman, who previously directed
CAMEO's Oklahoma! and last year's production of Thoroughly Modern Mille.
Assisting Hoffman will be Sheila Ludwig, musical director; Tom Bonezzi,
assistant music director; and Tara Tober, choreographer.  Rehearsals for
Oliver! began this month.

"We are very excited to see Dickens' characters come to life on the
Medina stage," says Michael Sferro, chairman, CAMEO.  "The cast includes
performers of all ages, and it's always great to get the families
involved in the community's performing arts."

Medina will meet many new faces, including Aidan Patrick Wilson as
"Oliver" and Trinidad Snider as "Nancy."  Familiar Medina performers
include David Brinker, Lillian Spetrino and Ron Svoboda.

CAMEO is the producer of the annual summer musical, the largest
theatrical event in Medina County.  The show will be presented July
24-August 2, 2009 in the beautiful and state-of-the-art Medina
Performing Arts Center, widely acclaimed as one of the finest facilities
in the state of Ohio.
