The students of Rydell High School are back again in this rollicking
musical tribute to the 1950s. Favorite songs like "Summer Nights",
"Greased Lightnin'" and "Beauty School Dropout" accompany the story of
Sandy, the new girl in school, and Danny, the cool greaser boy.

Originally hitting Broadway in 1972 and maintaining one of the longest
runs in Broadway history, /Grease/ has been revived in 1994 and 2007 and
was a major motion picture starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta
in 1978. The show has been nominated for over a dozen Tony awards and
has been performed in countless schools and community theaters worldwide.

*ACCENT ON YOUTH IN WEST GEAUGA SCHOOLS*
CVLT's /Accent on Youth/, an outreach program which produces relevant
plays for young audiences on such difficult and significant issues as
drug abuse, physical abuse, conflict resolution, date rape, and teen
suicide, is proud to have added the West Geauga school system to its
growing area of participation. /AOY/ uses student actors in plays to act
as a catalyst for change through the power of live theatre, and is made
possible through the interest and guidance of the Ridgecliff Foundation
<http://www.ridgecliff.org/>.

*MURDER BY THE FALLS 2009: /80 Years of Knockin' 'Em Dead/ * (September
11 / 12)
CVLT has produced over a hundred musicals since 1930. In honor of the
80th Season, over a dozen familiar leading characters from these
musicals have been summoned to the stage for a benefit concert. This odd
array of personalities makes life hell for the director and stage
manager, but the situation takes a fatal turn when the overworked
costumer is found murdered on the stage! Who's to blame? Was it the
gunslinging 'Curly' from /Oklahoma/? Perhaps the lunatic swordsman 'Don
Quixote' from /Man of La Mancha/? And what about the bloody-handed
'Maria' from /West Side Story/ or the overbearing 'Mama Rose' from
/Gypsy/? It's up to the audience to help 'Inspector Gotcha' and
'Detective Ketchum' crack the case! This year's /Murder/ takes place on
September 11 & 12. Tickets will go on sale in August and always
disappear quickly, so keep your eyes on CVLT.org!
