*Audition Notice:*



Strongsville Community Theatre will hold auditions for the Pulitzer Prize
winning (and Tony Award winning) drama “Proof,” by David Auburn.



Auditions will be held Monday, August 20, and Tuesday, August 21, from 7:00
– 9:00 p.m. at the Strongsville Senior Center, 18100 Royalton Rd,
Strongsville (behind the Target plaza).



Please bring a prepared monologue, not more than two minutes long; also be
prepared to read from the script.



Roles available:
Catherine - Age 22-30
Robert - Age 50-60
Claire - Age 25-30
Hal - Age 22-30


Synopsis: Catherine, a troubled young woman has spent years caring for her
brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. On the eve of her
twenty-fifth birthday, she must deal with the volatile emotions triggered by
his death. Over the long weekend that follows, a burgeoning romance and the
discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into the most difficult
problem of all: Will she inherit her father's genius…or his madness?



Directed by Ted Larsen.  Performances will be October 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18
– two weekends (including Sunday matinees).
