[NEohioPAL] Beauty and the Beast Jr. at the Players Guild Theatre!

The Player’s Guild Theatre Performing Arts Academy presents Beauty and the Beast Jr., the result of seven weeks of hard work and dedication by the 40 youth students of the summer theatre workshop. Under the direction of Carrie Alexander Spina, students participated in all aspects of stage production: singing, dancing, acting, set & lighting design, directing & even making the costumes! 

The staff also includes Lisa Belopotosky Knight (Assistant Director), Amanda Medley (Musical Director), and Sarah Karam (Choreographer). 
 
Throughout the workshop, Players Guild staff members led in-depth workshops with the students: Artistic Director Joshua Erichsen taught the students about scenic design; Resident Director Jon Tisevich gave them tips on auditioning; Technical Director Craig Betz showed the students the different aspects of set construction; Resident Costumer and Emmy Award-Winner Susie Smith guided the students as they sketched their costumes and then assisted as their ideas came to life!

This enchanting musical is sure to make magical memories for the entire family! Three performances will be held: Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st at 7:00 p.m. and a Sunday matinee on August 2nd at 2:30 p.m. The $10 general admission tickets are on sale now at the Players Guild Theatre box office between the hours of 10:00 and 2:00PM Tuesday - Saturday at 330-453-7617 or online anytime at www.playersguildtheatre.com/online_box_office.php
